Life in Technicolor

The most unfortunate part of my Thanksgiving break, is having to suffocate myself with ACT Prep information. In truth, blogging, at the moment, has been my only chance to come up for air. Hopefully, word does not get out that I did. In the lyrics of Maroon 5, "Is there anyone out there, cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe?!" Life lately, well, for starts, I have had to do more than one person can accomplish, furthermore, my youth minister and choral director all have left within the same year. It's really nothing to get all torqued out about, but for a small town with severely bore some activities, you take advantage of all the little things. It's been..I don't know, two months, maybe, since our choral director (I'll refer to him as Mr. Bear out of courtesy and respect) was relieved from work.
Honestly, no one saw it coming, in fact, people were beginning to think Mr. Bear was "on a role," if you will. Personally, I thought Mr. Bear was permanently going to stay, because of all the wonderful things he brought into our choral program. Mr. Bear was an exceptional director and friend, and no one can replace him and all the memories he made at our high school. What's worse, is that he was also our show choir director, and without him, the show seems to have fallen apart. We no longer I have our choreographers either, due to being on Mr. Bear's side of the argument, and they don't want to help out, if Mr. Bear is not reinstated. I fear that it is extremely unlikely that he will. I don't think much of the public sees that we are a military covered in glitter, and, in truth, that's a bit of an understatement. I also don't think that many people see that we are a family, and the sweat and blood and tears all majorly contribute into our show to not only be a fantastic performance, but a memorable one. I wish that our school board could see that....but enough venting about that. Honestly, tears are coming up right now. Oh, right, my youth minister. Now that we're on a depressing subject, my youth minister, let's just refer to him as Mr. That Guy--his favorite saying--found a better job at Trinity Pres. in Montgomery, Alabama. I guess it's for the best, since God says that we need to reach out to all unbelievers. Lately, with the state I'm in, that news destroyed this "emotional fort," I've built for myself. This town seems to be tormented by all this mass chaos.

It NEVER ends!!
P.S. Yes, I did take those pictures...

You, And All That You Do..

In this world, there is only one You.
You have your very own ways.
You've got your own walking shoes in this world.
You are the only one who smiles and laughs exactly as you do.
You are the only one who lives and thinks exactly as you do.
You are your very own you.
In this world, there is only one you.
You've got your own dreams and your ideas too...

In this world, there is only one You.

How Can A Flower Have So Much Power?

Like a rainbow, you bring color to ordinary places. Like a sunset, you add brilliance. Like a river, you know the way. With the patience of the forests, you wait for your dreams to grow. And like the most special flower in the garden..

...you grow stronger and more and more beautiful everyday.

The Strange Thing About Love..

The strange thing about love is that it can make your heart beat faster, and the strange thing about love is that it can make you laugh and then cry. The strange thing about love is that it's uneven: in this life, you may be loved by someone you don't love back, and you may love someone who doesn't return your love. The strange thing about love is that it's always worth it, and the strange thing about love is that it's always somewhere in your life. The strange thing about love is that you have to believe in it for it to be true, and the strange thing about love is that, even if it's a different story than you expected, somehow it all works out.

Love is strange, isn't it? But trust in it...and you will be all right.

It's a Crime How I've Spent Oh So Little Time..

The sky is the limit, and I just want to float..
Free as a spirit, and I'm journeying home..
Cut the strings and let me go..
.........................I'm weightless..........................

I guess the weight of the world really does hold us down, because I've been way too busy to bother to sit, write one of my "adventures" down. To cut to the chase, I'm past halfway through my summer, and I haven't done anything exciting other than hanging out with friends or spending time at the lake. Wow! I can't believe it! I'm almost a junior..I have to keep reminding myself, because I most certainly don't act it. I'm ready to go back to school, but time has flown by way too fast. I'm not even as tan as I was last summer. I still have one more vacation before it's all said and done, and that's R.Y.M. It's a church youth group retreat to the beach. I'm soo excited! It really is my last time to soak up the sun. Ready? Set? Ready! Let's go!

Oh the Zoo! and Long Hair too?

YESSS! The countdown's begun! There is only 8 dreadful days left until I get my frying pan, well I mean Tangled DVD. It is released March 29 precisely, and I don't think I can bear waiting any longer! Unfortunately, the release date falls on a Tuesday, but this will not put a damper on my spirits. This just means, that I have all weekend to sing-a-long and memorize all the lines in the film! MARVY!! (my new word--short for marvelous) There is more good news!! This weekend, other than my chic-flick, I'm bound for the Zoo. Yes, dare I say, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be accompanied by my good friend Camie, and the two of us will be inseparable for the weekend.. Just so you know, to prevent venting about my daily experiences, I've permanently decided to only blog on Saturday's ..until then.. Toodles!

Forgive me...

Oh how I've missed plenty of opportunities to tell you all the wonderful things that have happened to me! I've been so terribly busy, that I've neglected to update my blog! Nevertheless, I have found the time to share my latest tales...

Why yes, it's true, I've gotten those trendy bangs!I usually spend a lot of time pondering on how I could avoid following the crowd, but, oh the cleverness of me, I chose straight across bangs, instead of those "all the rage" side swept bangs. No offense, of course, to all those bright girls with side bangs. It was a big change for me, see how I mostly curl my hair. Oh well! No harm done! I get to play a new character now, and maybe bring out a little rebellious streak.......well.....maybe not! :)

Eyes over here now..
Anyways, last Thursday, my aunt, sisters, and I ventured out in the BRT*, desperately searching for Easter dresses and shoes. We went everywhere! Scurrying from Tupelo to Pontotoc, to New Albany, and back to Tupelo. I came back with only one dress.. :( However, I was entertained throughout the whole day, by none other than my sister, Britton. This picture is the masterpiece she left for our poor waitress in New Albany. Obviously, she was left a great tip, see how Britton wrote, in all caps, "LARD" with the ketchup bottle.

NOTE: BRT stands for Big Rolling Terd, but it is incredibly rude and embarrassing for my mother to hear her young ladies call her suburban a "potty word" in public. Therefore, she told us to abbreviate the name, or else...

This Week will make me Weak!

Before I begin, Happy Valentine's Day, I hope it was wonderful. Now I should be writing a paper for tomorrow, but I couldn't resist the temptation to update my followers about what's happening in my life at the moment. So far, nothing romantic or life changing, but I do have showchoir competition this weekend. As it turns out, I also have surgery next week too, joy.... Looks like I'll be the new handicapped, and sadly, no knight in shining armor to walk me to each class... :( But, it'll work itself out..I think. Unfortunately, Cinderella turns back into a pumpkin at 10:00, and has yet to write another paper due tomorrow, so I must bear you all, farewell!

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue....Happy Valentine's Day to You!

Until I Met You

Before I met you,
I thought I was happy,
and I was,
but I had never known
the rich contentment,
deep satisfaction,
and total fulfillment
you brought to me
when you came into my life.
Before I met you,
I felt a lot of things,
good things,
but I had never experienced
the indescribably intense
feelings I have for you.
Before I met you,
I thought I knew myself,
and I did,
but you looked deep inside me
and found fresh new things
for us to share.
Before I met you,
I thought I knew about love,
but I didn’t,
until I met you.

I thought I'd share this as a little something for this upcoming Valentine's Day...

Access Denied, Run and Hide!

So as of January 5th, 2011, our wonderful school decides to block, not only everything at school, but at home too! GREAT! I understand they are trying to keep us safe and protected, but I wish they would give us a little more freedom at home...I mean really? Block Facebook at home? I know that some of the students have taken advantage of this privilege, but is there a way to block just them, and not everyone else? :( Students, I say run and hide, because if your computer can still access facebook, youtube, etc. then you better hope you can keep it for as long as you can! I wish there was a way you could set restrictions on some applications and websites and not necessarily block them. That would be huge! :) I love how our school keeps searching for new ways to help us learn, but every which-away the plan turns into chaos! For instance, next year, they plan to put us on a blocked schedule, giving us four classes between the two semesters, and getting out earlier. Good Deal! Though, I am preparing for the worst, because as I have anticipated for a more modern way to learn, it has ended up in all of my good go-to-sites-for-research have been...BLOCKED! OH WELL! Apparently, it's all for the best.  Eventually, I might intend to turn my computer in for textbooks, because my problems would be solved, and I would not have to worry about sinking into deeper water.

Farewell, Until I Have Another Story to Tell

So here's the thing. This is my last time to blog until, probably the 24, in which, even then, I may not even blog. Tomorrow starts our journey to the Bahamas (ahhh!) and I have no idea what to pack!!:( Packing, for me, is such a stressful task, because it requires a lot of thought on what to wear for however many days you may be gone from your closet. BUT I'm soo excited!! The weather app said that it would be sunny highest in the 70s, and 60s, at night. The main thing I'm worried about is, the plane and security. I dread going through airport security, because it makes me soo nervous that like my zipper may make the alarm go off, and I'll have to go to get questioned for being a suspect in a bomb threat! : 0 And the plane...oh the plane! The turbulence, the small space, the annoying attendant, the man snoring as loud as he can in the seat behind you, and the loud mouth next to you. JOY! Not even blowing out your headphones to heavy metal can help you on that thing! I hope it will be over verrryy fast! BUT I'm soo excited..oh wait! I already said that.. Wish me luck!:) Oh! And, Merry Christmas!!:)

The Little Things That Define Me

Vans

Nike 6.0
My Everyday Shoes
My Vans are essential to my lifestyle, because they are very casual and laid back, like me! Even though the picture demonstrates my shoes black, they really are gray.

Shoes with Personality!
My Nike's are one of the best ways I can express myself, not just because they are my only pair of tennis shoes, but they are rich in personality, like me!

Sweet Sixteen Trip

Santa Claus is
vacationing at Atlantis

The Webbs' are at it again, and this time we're going to Atlantis. Recently, I turned 16, and my parents surprised me with a trip to the Bahamas for 6 days straight! How Exciting!! They've planned for us all to do some intense stuff, but I don't think my suitcase will hold everything necessary. Plus, we're in the middle of December, and I haven't gotten a tan, in what, 3 months, give or take? Anyways, this trip is also after Thanksgiving holidays, not exactly bikini season. Oh well! People are just gonna have to close their eyes! Besides, I don't think I'll see anyone I know?! (hint hint) I've heard many stories, and seen all the commercials, for this resort, and so far it looks like 5 stars, but I'm just not sure. Despite, it being such a great trip, I lack finishing my christmas list, and we return right before the "best day of the year." uh oh!!! No matter, I believe we will still have a good time, and hopefully the weather will be nice!:)

"May your days be merry and bright..."

"And may all your
Christmases be White..."

Is Christmas here, why yes...yes it is! All I want for Christmas is hot chocolate, gift swapping games, and bundling up in my heated blanket. The break approaches slower and slower, and I'm ready to get out of school. Despite the cold weather, going home to a warm house is top of my Christmas list right now! Despite the Happy Holidays, I feel this year is passing too quickly. It seems like Sophomore year just got started, and I'm slacking in my grades, already. Anyways, during December I turn 16, on the 12th, and possibly get a car for Christmas?! I also have a retreat to Victory Ranch, Tennessee, the 3rd through the 5th, and I'm not too excited...I also have Formal to prepare for, and I still have not found any shoes that match my dress. If push comes to shove, I may just wear my Nike 6.0s. I'm going to try to attend as many Mississippi State Basketball games, but I fear I won't make some due to not being able to drive yet... :( But those days are almost over, because I get my license December 30th. Well I end here, until I have more to say after Christmas. Happy Holidays!

Late for an Important Date...

SO I CAN'T SLEEP
There is so much to do, and so little time! One, I'm anxious about our retreat to Victory Ranch tomorrow, in which I have not even begun to start packing..Two, I have three papers, all of which have to be used front and back...Three, I have 60 shapes to draw TWICE, which is extremely ridiculous, and pointless..And I just got a text saying I have a test tomorrow? JOY! May all you guys have goodnights sleep while I attempt to complete my mountain of things to do!
